Computer Science Grade 11
Term 1 Flash and ActionScript 3.0
We have upgraded our Flash program from Flash MX to Adobe Flash CS5.
This is a major upgrade. Both the program and the scripting language have
undergone huge changes and improvements. We will continue our study
of this very interesting program.
We will learn more animations and game creations.
Term 2 Blender 3D animations.
Blender has also had some major upgrades and improvements. We will
be continuing our study of this 3D animation software. It is available for
free online.
This is a fairly new component of our course. It is challenging but very enjoyable.
We will learning “Modeling” of 3D characters and how to manipulate them
with some simple programming.
Term 3 – Visual Basic (continuation of Grade 10) or possibly another
new 3D program called Unity.
The VB lessons are as follows if we continue with VB.
Chapter 3: Work with multiple controls, variables and constants
Chapter 4: Perform calculations, use conditions
Chapter 5: Various debugging techniques, Create menus
Chapter 6: Write general procedures, create multiple forms
Chapter 7: Create lists and loops, send information to the printer
My personal Projects These will be presented in a booklet for each student.
Most of these projects are games that the students will learn how to code.
MARKING
Each term is worth 25%
final exam is also worth 25%.

We will learn more animations and game creations as well as the updated
scripting language.
Term 2 Blender 3D animations

programe. It is challenging but very enjoyable.

with some simple programming. We will also be experimenting with Python, the scripting
language used with Blender.
