TERM 1 PROJECT:  the HOT SHOT project.  have now been completed. Congratulations to all the MBCI HOT SHOTS!  The project results were excellent.  the MBCI HOT SHOT MASTERS are...Nic & Nic

TERM 3 PROJECT:  Which students will work on in term 2, as it is due at the start of term 3 is the BRIGHTEST BULB PROJECT.  In this project groups of students work together to create a fruit/vegetable battery that can light 3 or more LEDs.  See the project pdf for details.

The  BRIGHTEST BULB PROJECTS ARE IN!  The students created spectacular products!  Many of the projects created batteries that lite 10 or more LEDs... the record was 21 LEDs!!

brigh_bulb_brain.pngThis year's BRIGHTEST BULB BOSSES are the makers of "the Lemonizer", Alex B., Andy S., Andrew L. and Ryan M.  Their impressive battery produced 32.8 volts and lite 21 LEDs!!   CONGRATULATIONS! 

Honourable mention goes to the creators of "the Iron Mann arc reactor" [Conrad M. & Matthew D.] and the "iBattery" [Nic C. & Nic G.]

 

The WAG Chemistry & Art Field trip on May 11 went very well! 

Congratulations to the students on their mature and keen participation!  Thanks also to the WAG for making this special request tour a reality.

The FINAL EXAM for CHEMISTRY 40S is on Monday, 9 am, June 18th, 2012.   The final exam review package can be found here, along with the final exam review completion bonus opportunity.  [These have been posted since April 24th, 2012]
