I often get asked if things are “winding down at school” as June approaches. The reality is that while there are some things that come to an end near the beginning of June (clubs, classes, use of your locker…), there is still so much to be done and so many things to celebrate as a school community.
One of the things that I love about the school year at MBCI is how it both begins and ends with events that bring a sense of community and celebration of our students. Fall is marked by a kick off BBQ and games day, followed by our first spirit week and spiritual emphasis week. Our Spring calendar is filled with events like school trips, Celebration of Learning, concerts, FHL finals, awards banquets/ceremonies, graduation and our final Student Council event, the Carnival. Each one of these examples (and there are many others) is cause for significant joy and thanksgiving for the students, staff and families that are a part of the MBCI community.
I would like to encourage all of our students to finish well in the upcoming weeks and to take time to consider, not only all that they have learned and worked for, but also the ways that they have been a part of building positive community this year – thank you.
I wish each one of your families a safe and wonderful summer break! Thank you for your continued support of MBCI and for entrusting your child to our daily care.
