MBCI’s Spring Concerts are Monday May 31 (Grades 9-12) and Monday June 7 (Grades 6-8). Both events begin at 7:30 p.m. in Jubilee Place.
Recipients of MBCI’s Music Awards were celebrated in an awards ceremony in chapel on Wednesday May 26.
Grades 6 & 7 must return their music uniforms after their spring concert is done. The cummerbund, bowtie and shirt each need to be labeled with a piece of masking tape on which is the student’s first and last name and phone number. The shirts need to be washed and ironed. Please put the three items on a hanger and return them on June 9th to the choir room.
Auditions for next year’s Concert Choir (students entering Grades 10, 11, or 12) will be ongoing through the months of May and June. Students may get audition information from Mr. Taves.
Audition material and information for next year’s Concert Band will be made available mid-June. Students should watch the announcements for further instructions.
The Grade 9 Choir and Grade 9 Band performed for Princess Margaret School on Friday May 28. The program included a variety of sacred and secular music and a Guess the Instrument contest.
MBCI is hosting the fifteenth annual Elmwood Junior Band Summer Camp in August. Contact Mr. Klassen for registration information.
