GENERAL STUDENT NEWS

 

The City of Winnipeg is hiring program leaders for wading pools, facilities, children's and youth programs. The salary range is $9.36-$14.68. Applications are being accepted until April 9 at 510 Main Street or online at winnipeg.ca.

 

Grade 11 Pre-Cal Math Contest Prep at lunch Tues., Wed. in Mr. Peters' room.

 

ATTENTION YEARBOOK COMMITTEE: Please plan to attend an important meeting with our Friesens representative at Noon on Friday, February 26 in Mr. Buhler's room (Rm. 5208).  Bring your lunch!

 

Sobeys fundraiser runs until March 8th.  No orders will be accepted after March 8th at 9:00 a.m. 

 

Driver's Education Registration will take place on Monday March 1st at 12 noon in the HS office.  You must turn 16 before Sept. 15th.  Classes will run Monday through Thursday from 3:30 - 5:45 beginning March 8th until March 25th.

 

YIP Committee meets Tues. Feb.23 @ Noon in library classroom.

Optimist Band Festival: This week, three of our bands are performing at the Optimist Band Festival at the Convention Centre:

Grade 9 Band - TODAY Tuesday, 1:40 pm

Concert Band - Thursday, 7:50 pm

Grade 8 Band - Friday, 10:30 am

 

Band students - please take note of the schedules and rehearsal changes that have been communicated to you regarding this week.

Be Real

Titus 2:11-13 ~ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Prayer:

Dear God – Thanks for the things that you want to teach us today in chapel.  Help us to take what we can from chapel and do something with it. Help us to make changes for the better in our lives. Thank you that you are always teaching us something new.
