GENERAL STUDENT NEWS


Mom's Pantry: Mom's Pantry fundraiser starts again today and runs until Feb.15.

 

TONIGHT IS MBCI’S OPEN HOUSE: COME ONE, COME ALL….6:30 P.M.


MUSIC

Band Students: All band classes will be on stage today due to setup for tonight's Open House.

 

Grade 6 Band and extra Grade 7 Players: Come right on stage for your dress rehearsal period 2 today. Evening Call: Be in the band room with uniforms on to check in between 6:15 pm and 6:30 pm. Performance starts at 7:00 pm and ends 7:15 pm, with a snack in the band room after.

 

Senior Jazz Band: Rehearsal Wednesday at lunch as well as 3:30 - 5:00 pm.


Concert Band: Low Brass, Low Woodwind, and String Bass sectional this Thursday, Feb. 4, 3:20 pm - 4:20 pm. Horn/Trombone you're on Wed, Feb. 10.


Concert Choir: Monday Feb. 1 is full choir

 

Mom's Pantry: Mom's Pantry fundraiser starts again today and runs until Feb.15.

 

Brandon Jazz Festival: Get together in groups of four and sign up for rooms in the middle school office starting at lunch today.

 

Band Students: Want to earn $5 this Friday after school for about 20 minutes? The U of M Wind Ensemble needs a crew of 4 students to move some equipment on stage for a concert in JP. Talk to Mr. Klassen asap if you can commit to working.

 

SPORTS

The grade 6/7 boys BB team came in second in the John Henderson tournament this weekend.  MBCI defeated John Henderson and John W. Gunn before losing to Valley Gardens in a very competitive game.  Way to go boys!

 

GRADE 6/7 GIRLS BBALL: No practice today due to the open house tonight. - rkl

 

Grade 6/7 Girls basketball team placed 2nd in the John Henderson tournament. An excellent display of character and determination to use your skills! Notable mentions go to Stephanie Starodub for leadership, Rachel Goossen for team play and scoring, and Grace Klassen for shot blocking and drive to the hoop.

 

Grade 8 Girls Basketball: The gr. 8 girls finished 4th in their tournament on the weekend playing against some very strong teams. Congratulations girls.
