Upcoming scholarship opportunities: Royal Bank of Canada for immigrants who entered Canada on or after January 1, 1999 ($3,500, deadline February 1); Manitoba Youth Leadership ($500, deadline March 26); Terry Fox Award ($7000, deadline February 1); Toyota Earth Day ($5000, deadline February 28). UNITED WAY SCHOLARSHIP - if you are a grade 12 student who has been involved with a United Way Agency, you may be eligible for a $500 scholarship. See Mrs. Herr for list of eligible agencies, or to apply. Deadline is February 1.

Open House dates: CMU - February 17; Red River - February 17; University of Winnipeg - February 17, University of Manitoba - February 17 & 18; Providence College - February 18.
Students who wish to be tested for credit in a language other than English or French, can see Mrs. Herr for an application form. Deadline for registration is February 10 (but don't wait until then).

Rocky Mountain Trip: On June 29th, a group of students will be embarking on an exciting trip to the Rockies for a week of hiking. You could be part of that trip but you need to register as soon as possible. Only 14 students will be accepted on the trip and priority will be given to senior students. Pick up more information from Mr. Plett along with your Waiver Form. See Mr. Plett's web page for more details.

Junior Jazz Band: Thanks for an amazing performance at Concordia Place yesterday!
Grade 9 Choir and Band: You will receive your job assignment tomorrow for Friday's WMES Chapel performance.
Concert Band: Clarinet sectional tomorrow Thursday, Jan 28. Low Brass, Woodwind, and String Bass on Feb. 4.
Concert Choir: Wednesday Jan.27 day 6 is TB. Thursday Jan.28 day 1 is SA.

WANT MORE VOLLEYBALL? LADYHAWK volleyball registration will happen until l Feb. 1. To guarantee your spot please register by Feb.1. After Feb. 1 we may offer spots to non MBCI players. Cost will be $100 for the season. Season begins at the end of Basketball. Registration forms will be available in the HS office. Please see Mrs. Malech for more information.
