Arts

MBCI’s art program has seen great growth over the last few years with the inception of a broadcast media course and the construction of a new theatre and art facility. MBCI continues to encourage creativity through different mediums including digital media, creative arts and dramatic arts. Last year MBCI was proud to present The Wiz, a southern gospel adaptation of the classic musical, the wizard of Oz.

GRADE 12 Drama Production
On May 18th-21st, 2010, the Grade 12 drama class proudly presents You Can’t Take It With You by George Kaufman and Moss Hart. Set in New York, 1936 this wonderfully heart felt comedy tells the story of the Sycamore family. At first the Sycamores seem mad, but it is not long before we realize that if they are mad, the rest of the world is madder. Big personalities and even bigger laughs! The show starts at 7:00pm and tickets are $7.00. We hope to see you there!

DON'T DRINK THE WATER by Woody Allen:  The Grade 12 Drama Class performed this hilarious comedy February 10 - February 12, 2010.

Christmas Play

Our Gr. 10 Christmas play this year was entitled Home for Christmas, a sentimental story of faded memories, family relationships and old friends. The Clayton family had scattered to every part of the country. Some of them have been successful and some have difficult problems. Their mother was not well and this was her last Christmas. One of the daughters, determined that the family recapture something they seem to have lost, forced them all to come home for Christmas. The play was performed in the drama theatre classroom on Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00 pm.
